Sussex will recycle more than 150 thousand tons of chicken litter annually. 

Sussex will collaborate with Delaware Electric Cooperative on the feasibility of provisioning electricity. The facility will also produce organic fertilizer for reuse by local farmers and their suppliers. The project is supported by the Delaware Department of Agriculture, Delmarva Poultry Industry, the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays and the Delaware Electric Cooperative.
